Job Description
RGM Advisors, LLC, is seeking a data center operations technician responsible for support, troubleshooting and maintenance.
|
Responsibilities
• Support the operation of a high performance computing cluster with thousands of cores and terabytes of data;
• physical installation of new systems and networking to expand this system in our data centers;
• install Linux operating system on new and existing machines;
• maintenance and additions to hardware, power and network cabling;
• supervising service technician visits; and
• short term IT projects outside the data center, such as adds/changes to networks and equipment in offices.

Qualifications
• Must be familiar with Linux installation (Debian preferred) and troubleshooting installation issues;
• experience with network cabling and installations using cable management systems;
• superior troubleshooting skills and able to resolve issues independently;
• Dell server service certification (PowerEdge) a plus;
• CompTIA A+ service certification a plus; and
• The ability to lift servers weighing 40 lbs or more and installing them in racks.
